In September 2006, Braun Hopke and Carlos Alvarez formed the partnership that is known as LUX Painting Inc.
LUX Painting Inc. is a company formed on the basic principles of quality craftsmanship, excellent customer service and competitive pricing.

Braun graduated from Washington State University in 1989 with a degree in business and economics. His career in the painting industry began in 1990 as a sales representative with the Sherwin Williams paint company. From 1996 to 2006 he was part owner of a large Seattle area painting company. His duties included managing the estimating department while personally producing over 6,800 estimates spanning from large commercial projects to custom residential homes.
Carlos started in the industry in 1995 as an apprentice for a large east-side painting company. Trained as a millwork specialist, he was quickly promoted to crew leader, then to job site supervisor and finally to project superintendent. As a project superintendent he was responsible for interior/exterior painting of residential housing plats, condominiums and multi-million dollar custom homes. He managed up to 40 field employees at any given time. In 2005 he was hired as an estimator by Seattle painting specialist and trained by Braun Hopke.
Michael also started in the industry working for a large east-side painting company. Working on the same millwork crew as Carlos Alvarez, he then followed Carlos up the supervisor/management ladder. He was promoted to crew leader and then to job site supervisor. He then moved into the front office as an administrative assistant, was promoted to customer service representative and finally to safety coordinator. In early 2007 he was hired by lux painting as a superintendent.
